Job Overview

Job Overview As a Data Center Technician Supervisor, you will lead a team of Data Center Technicians to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and reliability of the client’s data center infrastructure. Building on the responsibilities of a Data Center Technician II, you will provide hands-on technical support, oversee daily operations, and drive team performance through effective supervision, training, and process improvement.

  • Supervise and Lead Technicians:
    Oversee daily activities of Data Center Technicians, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure operational excellence.
  • Team Scheduling & Resource Allocation:
    Co-collaborate with the Team Lead to manage shift schedules, assign tasks, and ensure adequate coverage for all operational needs.
  • Performance Management:
    Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career development for team members.
  • Training & Development:
    Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training for new and existing technicians, collaborating with the Global Training Team.
  • Ticket Management Oversight:
    Ensure accurate and efficient execution of the ticket management process by the team.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting:
    Apply advanced diagnostic methods to resolve complex data center equipment issues and support technicians in problem-solving.
  • Inventory Management:
    Work with our Cross-functional partnering team to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Server Repairs & Hardware Maintenance:
    Supervise and participate in server repairs, including component replacements (hard drives, RAM, motherboards, etc.).
  • Project Leadership:
    Lead or support special projects, ensuring timely completion and effective team collaboration.
  • Operational Continuity:
    Ensure continuity of operations and team coordination, especially when Data Center Leads are unavailable.
  • Issue Escalation:
    Identify, escalate, and track recurring issues or risks, proactively communicating with management.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Maintain and enforce compliance with safety standards and operational best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance data center reliability and efficiency.
  • Additional Duties:
    Perform other tasks as directed by management to support data center operations.
