Network Deploy Technician , Global Network Delivery

Amazon Web Services Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running, support new data centers, and all servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

As a Network Deploy Technician you will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.

• Support new data center locations and day‑to‑day capacity management.
• Work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
• Leverage experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks; perform network implementation and troubleshooting.
• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including device configuration and low‑level application interaction.
• Support cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking is completed for new equipment.
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
• Up to 20% travel within geographical work area required; some travel outside traditional work area, including internationally, may be requested.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in an environment that operates 24/7, participating in primary responder rotation and providing after‑hours support as needed.
• Work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments.
• Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

• Certification in a relevant field (CCENT – Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician, Network+, or CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate).
• 2+ years of experience in Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management.

• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Experience in Linux and networking protocols, or programming/scripting (Batch, VB, Power Shell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby and/or PHP) and experience in network protocols such as DNS, DHCP, TCP.
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large‑scale infrastructure.
• Knowledge of network design, protocols, and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience with load balancers, switches, routers, etc.

The base salary range for this position is USA, OH, New Albany – $30.00–$54.00 per hour. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
