Network Deployment Planner – Scaling, DCC Communities

OverviewAmazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Network Technician to support next-generation networks across multiple data center locations. The role focuses on scaling deployments, capacity management, and automation of network operations.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Collaborate with Network Engineering & Network Technical Project Manager teams to ensure seamless rollout of designs and products.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot networking, routing, and inter‑connectivity issues, including device configuration and low‑level application interaction.
- Handle cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and cords.
- Support capacity planning and resource scheduling for network implementations.
- Contribute to strategic planning and design management, developing roadmaps aligned with DC expansion targets.
- Lead end‑to‑end project planning, schedules, milestones, and risk assessment for concurrent initiatives.
- Coordinate inventory forecasting, procurement, and vendor relationships.
- Establish project governance, maintain documentation standards, and drive continuous improvement in planning processes.
- Ability to sit at a computer for an 8‑hour shift with breaks.
- Regularly lift up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts of 41 pounds or more.
- Walk on uneven terrain and work safely at heights or on ladders.
- Up to 20% travel within the work area; occasional travel outside the area may be requested.
- 1+ year of computer networking experience.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Hands‑on experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Network implementation and troubleshooting skills, with proven documentation methodology.
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
- Proficiency in managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
- Knowledge of cabling infrastructure best practices.
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking, stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).

SalaryBase hourly rate: $30.00 – $54.00 per hour (USA, OH, New Albany).
