We are looking for a Data Center Technician to support daily data center operations, including hardware installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment management. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with servers, network equipment, and data center infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and other IT equipment.
- Perform server rack and stack activities, including cabling and equipment installation.
- Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and equipment-related issues.
- Replace and repair faulty hardware components as needed.
- Perform equipment moves, adds, changes, and decommissioning.
- Monitor data center equipment and respond to alerts or support requests.
- Maintain proper labeling and cable management.
- Follow data center safety, security, and access procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of equipment and activities.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate technical teams.
- Work with vendors and internal teams when required.
- Hands-on experience with servers, racks, switches, and cabling.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, LAN, and VLAN.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
- Knowledge of structured cabling and cable management.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment when required.
- Experience with Dell, HP, Cisco, or similar hardware.
- Knowledge of VMware or other virtualization technologies.
- Experience with data center ticketing systems.
- Data center or hardware-related certifications are a plus
