Responsibilities- Perform daily operations, maintenance, and repair; keep daily logs, preventive maintenance tasks, and reporting.
- Inspect equipment, perform maintenance tasks, troubleshoot, and diagnose plant equipment and systems.
- Install, modify, maintain, repair, overhaul, test, and adjust mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose problems, troubleshoot and analyze faulty equipment.
- Perform predictive and preventive maintenance using vibration equipment, volt‑ohm meters, ammeters, temperature sensors, and other tools.
- Use the computerized maintenance management system to perform tasks and assist supervisors in planning work.
- Periodically check equipment performance to ensure conformance to required standards.
- Estimate required materials and specifications for purchase requests.
- Ensure compliance with plant specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform electrical work such as motor disconnection and phase testing.
- Fabricate parts using shop equipment.
- Interpret and alter drawings or blueprints to make field fits.
- Minimum 3+ years of equipment operations experience using mechanical, electrical, instrument or control system skills.
- High School, GED, technical training school, or Associates Degree graduate.
- Must be able to work extended hours according to the maintenance schedule.
- Experience performing mechanical maintenance on blowers, compressors, and ancillary equipment.
- Proficiency with hand and electrical/electronic analytical tools.
- In‑depth knowledge of PLC control systems; proficient at reading, writing, and programming ladder logic schematics; experience with R.S. Logic.
- Understanding of machine control functions and logic.
- Capability to engineer power runs from panels to machinery.
- Ability to fabricate parts from sketches, blueprints, or worn parts.
- Basic computer skills, including e‑mail and data entry (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and transport equipment/tools in excess of 300 lbs.
- Strong verbal, written, computer communication, and organization skills.
- Notify supervisor or lead of any quality issues promptly.
- Follow specific work instructions.
- Maintain customer focus throughout operations.
