Job Summary:The Deputy Project Information & Innovation Management (PIIM) Manager supports the PIIM Manager in executing Bechtel's data-centric delivery strategy and ensuring effective integration of information management, innovation, digital solutions, analytics, document management, automation, and IS&T services across the project lifecycle. The position provides day-to-day leadership and coordination of PIIM functional teams while helping drive digital transformation initiatives that improve project performance, productivity, and data quality.
The Deputy PIIM Manager serves as a key liaison between Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Startup/Commissioning, Project Controls, Contracts, and Project Management teams to ensure project information systems, business processes, and digital delivery objectives are aligned with project requirements and Bechtel standards. The role acts as the PIIM Manager's delegate as required and assists with strategic planning, staffing, budgeting, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Assist the PIIM Manager in developing and implementing the Project Information Management Plan and associated execution strategies.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination across Document Management, IS&T, Construction Automation, Engineering Automation, Innovation, and Data Analytics teams.
- Monitor project digital initiatives and ensure alignment with project execution objectives and customer requirements.
- Drive adoption of innovative technologies, automation solutions, and digital work processes across project functions.
- Support implementation and governance of the Common Data Environment (CDE), project information models, and integrated data solutions.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Startup, and Project Controls organizations to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Assist in development of project staffing plans, budgets, forecasts, and resource requirements within the PIIM organization.
- Ensure compliance with Bechtel information governance standards, cybersecurity requirements, and data quality expectations.
- Support deployment and sustainment of project systems including document management platforms, reporting solutions, collaboration tools, and field technologies.
- Oversee the development of dashboards, analytics, reporting solutions, and performance metrics that support informed decision-making.
- Facilitate cross-functional integration of project data and systems to achieve data-centric delivery objectives.
- Lead special initiatives focused on innovation, automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and mentor PIIM personnel through coaching, training, and career development opportunities.
- Represent the PIIM organization during project leadership meetings and customer engagements as delegated by the PIIM Manager.
- Serve as acting PIIM Manager during periods of absence or delegation.
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Skills:
- Strong understanding of EPC project execution processes and lifecycle requirements.
- Experience with project information management, document management, data governance, and digital delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of construction automation, engineering automation, analytics, reporting, and collaboration platforms.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to influence across multiple functional groups
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing and executing strategic initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Ability to balance tactical operational support with long-term strategic planning.
