Manufacturing Process Technician I What You Will Do

In this role, you will operate automated and innovative manufacturing equipment for the packaging operations of our products. You will be trained and cross‑trained to both operate and troubleshoot issues (in the event of faults and machine stops) across a variety of equipment such as automated, assembly, labeling, printing, and robotic automation. In addition to equipment operation and troubleshooting, the technician will ensure product quality as a result of the performance of the equipment.

Based on mechanical proficiency, the process technician will conduct machine troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and applicable regulations from the Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs).
  • Report any discrepancies to the Team Leader or Production Supervisor to ensure quality standards and safety.
  • Ensure quality & compliance through a Right First‑Time approach.
  • Receive and prepare components for use in manufacturing.
  • Feed components into equipment and perform sanitation activities.
  • Document appropriate paperwork, understand Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)/performance metrics, and participate in daily performance meetings.
  • Use pallet jacks and manually wrap pallets.
  • Use computer systems to support material inventory and electronic batch record.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to drive improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure components and products are available for continuous operation.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma / GED and at least 1 year of Manufacturing or Operations experience.
  • OR Associates degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in a GMP or other regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GMP principles.
  • Drug substance manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to assemble, disassemble, operate, and understand simple to moderately complex equipment per procedures.
  • Basic understanding of measurements, calculations, and the metric system.
  • Ability to work effectively in an individual and team setting.
  • Ability to document process tasks in electronic batch records.
  • Coachable, ability to take coaching/critique and show learned/measurable improvement.
  • Capacity to follow written procedures, recognize and report malfunctions.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to perform assignments with a high degree of focus and attention to detail.
