Overview

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in Controls/Automation in an industrial or commercial environment.
• Ability to perform material handling tasks up to 50 lbs and use OSHA standard safety equipment (PPE, ladders, harnesses, etc.).
• Ability to work non-standard hours and differing shifts.

• Certification in System Administration (e.g., CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Certified Windows or Linux system administrator).
• 2 years of experience in controls/automation or a related field.
• Experience in data centers, hospitals, power plants, or laboratories.
• Experience in scripting languages.
• Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, relays and troubleshooting using standard hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to communicate with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrades on data center systems.

• Inspect, maintain, and repair data center systems such as servers, network equipment, PLCs, SCADA, access control, alarm management, and related facilities systems.
• Read blueprints/schematics/ladder logic/sequence of operations, conduct system tours, and assess their working order.
• Control, monitor, log, and maintain alarm systems; respond to abnormal conditions.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new controls equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.

The Data Center team designs and operates sophisticated electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. Facilities Technicians operate, monitor, and support physical facilities conditions, including heating and cooling, power supply, generators, UPS, electrical distribution, and control and monitoring systems. You will inspect, maintain, and repair data center systems, read blueprints, conduct tours, and assess working order. You will contribute to reducing operational costs while improving data center efficiency and ensure environmental and safety standards are met.

In emergencies you manage performance issues to minimize recovery time.
