This role helps ensure reliable system performance, environmental stability, and documentation accuracy in a high-reliability, audit-ready environment. The role works closely with maintenance, engineering, quality, and operations teams to support system performance, alarm response, troubleshooting, and controlled system changes.

A hospitality mindset is fundamental to delivering exceptional workplace experiences for our client. We seek candidates who excel in collaborative environments, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, maintain high standards of accuracy, and adapt quickly to resolve challenges.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Monitor Building Automation System performance including graphics, trends, alarms, sequences, and environmental conditions.
  • Respond to BAS alarms, document events, and escalate issues per site procedures.
  • Maintain stable temperature, humidity, airflow, and pressure relationships for controlled environments.
  • Troubleshoot BAS field devices including sensors, actuators, valves, VAVs, AHUs, controllers, communication modules, and networked components.
  • Support configuration, graphics updates, point checks, sequence verification, and system tuning.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance, calibrations, corrective work, and system repairs in coordination with maintenance teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in CMMS (Maximo preferred) for work orders, alarm responses, and BAS activities.
  • Support compliance with GMP/GxP expectations, including ALCOA+ data integrity, audit trails, and user access management.
  • Follow formal change processes for modifications to logic, sequences, setpoints, and hardware.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, operations, and maintenance teams on alarms, investigations, and root-cause analysis.
  • Provide control-room support for environmental monitoring, equipment startup/shutdown, and system performance reviews.
  • Support commissioning, qualification, and system validation activities (FAT/SAT, Cx, IQ/OQ tasks).
  • Review trends, dashboards, and environmental stability data to identify inefficiencies, drift, or equipment degradation.
  • Support energy-management initiatives while ensuring environmental control requirements remain met.
  • Document findings and escalate long-term or recurring issues to automation and engineering leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma - GED.
  • 4+ years of experience working with Building Automation Systems or HVAC control systems within industrial, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
  • Experience operating or troubleshooting BAS platforms (Niagara N4, Metasys, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.).
  • Knowledge of controls networking such as BACnet and Modbus.
  • Familiarity with GMP/GxP expectations including ALCOA+, audit trails, and user access control.
  • CMMS experience (Maximo preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in engineering, Controls, HVAC, Industrial Technology, or related technical field; or equivalent industrial controls/automation experience.
  • Certifications such as Niagara N4, CCST, ISA, Siemens/JCI control certifications, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Siemens Desigo (preferred system platform).
  • Familiarity with IT/OT cybersecurity basics, backup/restore processes, and network segmentation.
  • Experience with commissioning, FAT/SAT, validation lifecycle documentation, and qualification activities.

Competencies:

  • Ownership and accountability
  • Systems thinking and strong problem-solving skills
