Position PurposeThe Emergency Department at Mount Carmel New Albany operates with eight beds. The Registered Nurse will care for a mixture of adult and pediatric patients with a variety of medical conditions in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment focused on patient experience and evidence‑based emergency care. The RN will work within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, delivering comprehensive and compassionate care and collaborating to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
WhatYou Will Do
- Provide nursing care, ensuring an environment of patient safety, promoting evidence‑based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibiting professionalism within the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program.
- Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence‑based practice; collaborate with patients and families to develop and implement plans of care that include physical, spiritual, and educational components.
- Accurately communicate pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner, keeping patients and families apprised and updated.
- Document accurately and completely pertinent assessments, interventions, and outcomes for patients in accordance with documentation standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by other licensed and unlicensed caregivers as appropriate.
- Education:
Graduate of a school of nursing. - Licensure / Certification:
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. - Casual RN:
Two years of experience required. - New graduates with less than one year of clinical experience will be automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
