Project Overview:Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets.
Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.
In this role, you will monitor and organize planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders’ involvement, through the coordination and instruction of Craft professionals. Your field leadership will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.
Major Responsibilities:Responsible for the cost, schedule and optimization of craft labor and maintaining the overall construction schedule, the 90 day and 3 week look ahead schedules for labor and equipment Inspect site for unsafe conditions and practices and take appropriate action to correct deficiencies.
Coordinate safety training in conjunction with the Environmental Safety and Health Supervisor.
Champion the cause of ZERO Accident Philosophy. Ensure that Bechtel and local/national safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with within assigned area of responsibility.
Monitor the activities of craft to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
Interface with Labor/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.
Review craft time records using established automated tools.
Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements
Implements and enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9
-12 years of relevant work experience.
Skills:
Extensive working knowledge of construction planning, monitoring and control.
Familiar with construction tools and equipment as well as their uses.
Extensive technical knowledge and experience in electrical operations; to ensure adequate coordination with all stakeholders for smooth and safe execution.
