We are a fast-paced, trend-driven fashion company based in the heart of NYC's Garment District, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Fashion Merchandiser to join our team.

We are especially interested in connecting with merchandising talent from the Columbus / New Albany, Ohio area who have developed their careers within leading specialty fashion retailers. Experience working in merchandising at Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, or a similar high-volume fashion retailer is highly desirable.

As our Senior Fashion Merchandiser, you will play a major role in developing and executing our product strategy. You will work closely with Design, Production, Sales, and senior leadership to build commercially successful assortments that are fashion-right, customer-focused, and financially productive.

This is a hands-on position for someone who combines a strong fashion point of view with excellent merchandising instincts and a deep understanding of the numbers behind the product.

• Own seasonal merchandising strategies and assortment plans across assigned categories.
• Analyze sales, inventory, customer behavior, competitive activity, and market trends to identify opportunities.
• Partner closely with Design to translate emerging trends into commercial product.
• Build balanced assortments across silhouette, color, print, fabrication, price point, and fashion level.
• Identify winning products quickly and recommend opportunities for reorders, extensions, and newness.
• Review weekly selling and react to performance with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Conduct competitive shopping and maintain a strong understanding of the fashion marketplace.
• Help establish pricing architecture and product positioning.
• Partner with Production and Sourcing teams to balance fashion, margin, cost, and delivery.
• Present assortment strategies, seasonal direction, and business opportunities to senior leadership.
• Mentor and help develop junior members of the merchandising team.
• Stay deeply connected to the customer and continuously identify what she wants next.

• Significant merchandising experience within fashion apparel or specialty retail.
• Senior-level merchandising experience with responsibility for meaningful product categories or businesses.
• Experience at Hollister / Abercrombie & Fitch corporate headquarters or another major specialty fashion retailer is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of assortment architecture, trend identification, pricing, sales analysis, inventory, and product lifecycle management.
• Commercial fashion instinct - you know the difference between an interesting trend and a product customers will actually buy.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn selling data into product decisions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to operate quickly and decisively in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong cross-functional partnership skills across Design, Production, Sourcing, and Sales.
• Passion for fashion, product, and the customer.

We are actively recruiting candidates currently located in Columbus, New Albany, and surrounding areas of Ohio, but the selected candidate must be willing to relocate to the New York City area.
