What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Control access at assigned entry points by checking identification, credentials, and/or access permissions, directing visitors to the proper check-in process, and helping to reduce unauthorized entry.
  • Manage visitor processing by verifying appointments, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and coordinating escorts per site-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate vehicle and delivery access by verifying shipping and receiving documentation, routing commercial traffic to designated areas, and documenting arrivals and departures as required.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, access control panels, and alarm indicators, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services when conditions warrant.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and/or hazards, and report findings per site procedures.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in daily reports, shift logs, and/or electronic reporting tools with clear and timely entries.
  • Support investigations by preserving observations, maintaining chain of custody for found property when applicable, and providing statements to site management and/or responding authorities as requested.
  • Assist with contractor check-in and compliance by verifying work authorization, confirming required credentials, and communicating access restrictions and site rules.
Minimum Requirements
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
