As a Security Guard - Reception Desk Driver in New Albany, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a utilities location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access, verify credentials, and log visitors and deliveries. You will monitor activity from the reception area, respond to requests with clear communication, and help document security-related incidents as needed.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at the front desk by following Allied Universal procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utilities location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and directing guests to the appropriate check‑in locations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security‑related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete required reports and shift documentation, communicate post updates during shift turnover, and support security‑related administrative tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
