Overview

AWS seeks an exceptional Program Security Officer / Data Center Security Manager to support security programs within cleared facilities, manage projects, and protect personnel, National Security Information, and critical infrastructure from internal and external threats.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive program security guidance concerning personnel, physical and operational security, counterintelligence, and media management.
- Create, implement, communicate, and manage security requirements at a large, government-accredited, multi-facility data center site while providing day-to-day multi-discipline program security support to operations.
- Draft and review security documentation including notifications, standards, procedures, and CONOPs.
- Proactively identify physical security requirements, potential issues, and solutions to sustain and enhance security.
- Perform and support the operations and maintenance of security hardware and systems employed onsite.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with internal staff (operations and support teams) and external partners (vendors, contractors, government) to heighten security awareness and engagement.
- Direct and manage onsite security forces to run daily data center security operations.
- Manage the classified material program to ensure procedures are developed and executed in accordance with internal and customer security policies and practices.
- Utilize workflow ticketing and extract performance metrics.
- Participate in on‑call rotations for alarm response, security incidents, escalations, and critical service outages.
- Participate in recurring security audits, inspections, and reviews.
- Execute compliance processes with AWS policies, standards, guidelines, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage security purchase orders, assist management with financial analysis, and contribute to financial decisions for security requirements.
- Travel between local facilities as needed.
- Current, active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance.
- Experience with security equipment such as intrusion detection devices, access control systems, and related technologies.
- Four or more years of experience as a Program Security Officer, Security Specialist, or Security Manager overseeing personnel, industrial, and physical security disciplines.
- Four or more years of experience demonstrating knowledge of physical security best practices, including application of physical security systems, investigation techniques, management of contract security guards, and incident management.
- Four or more years of data‑driven decision making.
- Four or more years of experience overseeing security operations and working with security vendors or contractors.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of projects, communication of timelines, and independent execution.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Excellent English‑language written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with secure facility requirements, ICDs, NISPOM, NIST standards, and other government regulations related to classified program management and handling of classified material.
- ASIS CPP, PSP, PMI PMP, or other related certifications.
