Job Summary
The Technician II – Security Systems must program and install security systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV, and Intrusion) per manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings. The role includes coordinating small groups of installers, ensuring compliance with company safety and quality standards, and handling crew performance and training.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Program and install security systems (card access, CCTV, CATV, and intrusion) per manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings.
- Assume responsibility for effective crew performance, providing necessary training, coordinating personnel, and maintaining project timelines.
- Assist in completing all IES commercial paperwork accurately and on time, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, and tool transfers.
- Adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Compensation:
Min USD $28.00/Hr. Max USD $28.00/Hr.
- High School diploma or GED equivalency.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in commercial security systems or related telecommunications field.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others and coordinate teams.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn company/industry codes and universal communications color codes.
- Proficiency with listed tools and basic hand tools, multimeter, toner/wand, coax compression, and insulated crimping tool.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
- Must meet company minimum driving standards.
- License:
Security Systems license required for career path advancement.
- Regular attendance mandatory.
- Self‑motivated, positive approach, professional, and capable of project process improvement.
- Handles work at heights, off a ladder, and in confined spaces; lifts up to 50 lbs and moves up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; good vision (color discrimination, small print) and hearing for audible signals.
- Travel within the branch or regional territory as needed.
- Project/Crew Lead – Security Systems. License required. No minimum education beyond high school.
