Trillium Construction is seeking Fiber Technicians near New Albany, OH. Scope of work:
Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling (SM/MM) and structured cabling systems. Perform fiber testing using OTDR, OLTS, power meters, and visual fault locators. Interpret test results and verify compliance with client and industry standards. Troubleshoot fiber faults, signal loss, and connectivity issues. Install and maintain patch panels, fiber enclosures, and distribution frames. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fiber splice diagrams.

Perform fusion splicing and mechanical splicing (where applicable). Complete test documentation, as-builts, and closeout packages. Coordinate with other trades and data center operations teams. Ensure work meets QA/QC standards and customer specifications. Pay: $35 Per diem: $110 / day for all 7 days after working the required schedule.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in commercial low voltage. OSHA 10/30. FOA CFOT + CFOS/T (Testing) or CFOS/S (Splicing). ETA FOT-OSP or FOT-ISP. BICSI Technician (TECH) or BICSI Installer 2 (INST2). Fusion Splicing Certification (manufacturer or FOA/ETA). Advanced Fiber Testing Credentials (OTDR trace analysis). NICET Level II–III (ITS or Low Voltage). Fluke Advanced Fiber Certification. Tools of the trade. Able to pass pre-employment screenings
