Position Summary
The Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting guests to and from the hotel, hospital, casino, and local area in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner using safe driving practices. The driver also assists guests with luggage, maintains vehicle activity and maintenance logs, and ensures confidentiality and safety in all interactions.
Responsibilities- Shuttle guests to approved destinations, remembering pick‑up and drop‑off points.
- Assist guests with luggage, including delivery and pick‑up during arrival and departure.
- Operate a vehicle seating eight passengers or fewer, inspect the vehicle before each shift, and record any malfunctions.
- Communicate courteously by telephone, two‑way radio, and in person with all guests, location staff, and co‑workers.
- Maintain knowledge of all property outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, main attractions, and parking rates.
- Protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements and secure client financial and identifying information.
- Assist patrons with vehicle entry and exit, including use of wheelchair lifts and ensuring wheelchair safety.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Legal requirement to pass a criminal background check, MVR, and drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and maintain a valid driver’s license at all times.
- Pass annual or semi‑annual MVR checks and complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course (if applicable).
- 1–3 months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in standard English.
- Basic arithmetic ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with U.S. currency, and an understanding of 24‑hour and military time.
- Ability to present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
- Hourly base pay ranging from $17–$20 per hour.
- Work schedule may include AM/PM shift times.
