What you will doIn this vital role, you will support outbound warehouse operations responsible for the distribution and shipment of finished goods while ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and service excellence. Reporting to the Outbound Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in daily warehouse execution, system transactions, inventory management, and cross‑functional coordination supporting the Amgen Ohio (AOH) site.
The Senior Associate, Outbound Warehouse Operations, will support outbound shipping activities, warehouse systems, inventory movements, and process improvements to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to patients worldwide. You will collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Packaging, Quality, and Planning and Logistics teams to maintain compliant and efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities may include:- Execute outbound warehouse operations in compliance with GMP/GDP and EHSS requirements
- Support daily outbound activities including order fulfillment, shipping coordination, inventory transfers, staging, and shipment processing
- Perform and support SAP warehouse transactions and ensure data accuracy within warehouse systems
- Monitor outbound workflows to ensure on‑time shipment execution and operational readiness
- Support cycle counts, inventory reconciliation activities, and material movements
- Identify and escalation operational issues while supporting timely resolution
- Participate in investigations, deviations, CAPAs, change controls, SOP revisions, and risk assessments as needed
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Packaging, Quality Assurance, Planning, and Logistics teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using standard operational excellence tools and methodologies
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and support reporting activities
- Assist with training activities and ensure compliance with required training curricula
- Support implementation of new warehouse processes, systems, and procedures
- Maintain inspection readiness and support internal and external audits
- Contribute to a safe, compliant, and inclusive work environment
- Support non‑standard shift coverage and maintain flexibility to work extended hours as needed
The Supply Chain professional we seek is a collaborative team player with strong operational and problem‑solving capabilities and the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications- High school/GED + of Supply Chain, Warehouse, Manufacturing, or Operations experience
- Associate’s + 2 years of Supply Chain, Warehouse, Manufacturing, or Operations experience
- Bachelor’s + 6 months of Supply Chain, Warehouse, Manufacturing, or Operations experience
- Master’s degree
- Educational background in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience in warehouse operations, shipping, distribution, or inventory management
- Knowledge of SAP ECC, WM, and/or EWM systems
- Experience working in regulated environments such as cGMP/GDP operations
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Power Point
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and team‑oriented environment
- Experience supporting cross‑functional operational activities
- Knowledge of EHSS and compliance requirements within warehouse operations
- Ability to analyze operational data and support problem‑solving activities
