Role Description The Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based at the Best Buy store in New Baltimore, MI. This role focuses on engaging customers on the sales floor, understanding their needs, and recommending appropriate technology solutions and services. Daily responsibilities include demonstrating products, explaining features and benefits, answering questions, and guiding customers through the purchase process while meeting or exceeding individual and store sales goals.
The Sales Specialist collaborates with teammates to maintain clean, well-merchandised displays, supports in-store events and promotions, and may assist with basic training or set-up of products for customers. This role also involves staying current on new technologies, following company policies and procedures, and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and customer-centric store environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage customers, build rapport, and provide clear, helpful guidance.
- Proven Sales abilities, including consultative selling, product recommendations, and goal-oriented performance.
- Experience or interest in Sales Management and Training, such as supporting team members, sharing product knowledge, and helping drive store results.
- Comfort with consumer technology products and services, with the ability to learn new devices and solutions quickly.
- Ability to work on-site, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Reliable time management, attention to detail, and basic computer and point-of-sale system proficiency.
- Previous retail, customer-facing, or sales experience is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is typically preferred.
