Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable processes and a strong ability to maintain accuracy while performing routine financial tasks. This role requires a dependable individual who is detail oriented, can adapt to various responsibilities, and provides excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable tasks, including invoice processing and coding.

- Scan and upload invoices into the system, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

- Confirm receipt of invoices and follow up as needed.

- Execute check runs to pay bills in a timely manner.

- Enter new vendor information into the system and maintain accurate records.

- Greet and acknowledge visitors and clients, maintaining a detail oriented and welcoming environment.

- Perform computer-based tasks to support daily operations.

- Report directly to the controller and follow established processes and procedures.

- Provide flexibility in handling a variety of duties as assigned.

- Ensure attention to detail in all aspects of accounts payable work. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and invoice processing.

- Proficiency in coding invoices and managing check runs.

- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems.

- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.

- Dependability and flexibility to adapt to changing tasks.

- Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in all tasks.

- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities.

- Capability to maintain a welcoming and attentive demeanor when interacting with guests.
