CLA is seeking an Audit & Assurance Senior to join our growing State & Local Government (SLG) practice in Shelton, West Hartford or our Southern New England offices. Government audit experience is preferred, but professionals with experience in other regulated industries are encouraged to apply. Our SLG practice includes 600+ professionals serving more than 2,100 government agencies nationwide, making it one of CLA's fastest-growing practice areas.
Howyou’ll create opportunities in this Assurance Senior role:
- Plan, lead, and execute Assurance engagements to provide excellent client service.
- Working closely with clients and decision makers while performing a wide range of assurance procedures.
- Audit complex areas/transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
- Research, analyze, and report on accounting, auditing, and related issues and developments.
- Schedule, delegate, and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
- Collaborate with managers/principals to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Get the opportunity to work with many great clients.
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
- 2 years of relevant experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam preferred
- State and Local Government (SLG) industry experience is a plus.

The compensation range for this position in Massachusetts is: $86,000 - $141,000
