Property Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Property Accountant to manage a portfolio of properties, including both complex, staffed properties and smaller, straightforward properties. This role will oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting, with some reports reviewed by a manager while others are issued independently.

• Prepare monthly financial statements
  , including balance sheets, income statements, variance analyses, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Manage both upper and lower-tier entities within property structures, including initial REIT testing where applicable.
• Prepare cash distribution worksheets to assess partner distributions.
• Develop and maintain annual property budgets
  , collaborating with external auditors for year-end reviews.
• Work directly with tenants and internal stakeholders
  , addressing inquiries and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and tax reporting for complex properties.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Public Accounting
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a big-picture perspective while focusing on the details.
• A team player with strong communication skills
