North Andover, MA (Transitioning to Salem, NH)
F.H. Cann & Associates (FHC) is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. This role supports core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, deposits, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Reporting directly to the Controller, the ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
What You’ll Do- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare bank deposits and verify receipts
- Assist with billing, deposits, and other accounting activities
- Maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Utilize Quick Books Desktop and Microsoft Excel for daily accounting functions
- Support financial reconciliations and reporting activities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a similar role
- Proficiency with Quick Books Desktop and Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation)
- Prior accounting experience within a debt collection agency environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Candidates must be able to reliably commute to our North Andover, MA office until our Salem, NH office opens.
