Part Time Payroll Associate
We are seeking a meticulous and trustworthy Part‑Time Payroll Associate to join our team. In this role, you will provide vital administrative and data entry support to our payroll office. You will help ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining the highest standards of data privacy. This position offers flexible part‑time hours and is perfect for someone with a sharp eye for detail.
Essential Functions:Payroll Processing Support:
- Assist in organizing electronic timesheets;
- Verifying hours worked;
- Contacting supervisors for approvals and confirmations;
- Inputting payroll data into the electronic payroll system.
- Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining physical and digital employee payroll files with high accuracy;
- Organize paychecks and pay stubs for mailing or pickup.
- Serve as a point of contact for basic employee questions regarding payroll;
- Assist employees needing payroll forms including tax and direct deposit forms.
- Assist with filing, scanning, mailing and other general office tasks as directed by the Payroll Manager;
- Cross reference reports for accuracy and for determining discrepancies;
- Other duties as requested or assigned.

Timeliness is critical in payroll. You must be dependable and respect strict processing deadlines.
Essential Characteristics:
- Demonstrates a genuine commitment to achieving or surpassing results against legitimate and increasingly elevated standards of excellence, showing passion for continually improving the delivery of services.
- Exhibits a high degree of initiative for bringing tasks to successful completion and succeeding in achieving stated goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; courses in accounting or business are a plus.
- Prior experience in data entry, office administration, or basic accounting preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially basic functions in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with electronic payroll systems, especially ADP Workforce Now.
- Prior experience working in a payroll office and/or working in a higher education institution.
$22.00 to $25.00 an hour
