Substation Construction Manager – 1 year contract (W-2) with per diem at GSA rates. Works within the Solar/BESS Substation department for a client based in Juno Beach, FL.

• Prioritize and enforce safety protocols on the job site, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and team members to complete projects.
• Perform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audit construction quality against specifications.
• Communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project.
• Keep detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections.
• Lead construction activities, monitor tasks, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts.
• Apply extensive knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical, civil, and steel structural drawings.
• Identify and address safety hazards, ensuring safe work near energized equipment at hazardous voltage levels.
• Resolve issues during construction to keep the project on track.
• Work with EPC on RFIs, change orders, material procurement, and material takeoffs.
• Review project after completion and report successes, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support commissioning efforts through energization.

• 5 years of relevant experience in substation construction, safety, and project management.

Base salary range for this position is estimated to be $70.00/hr to $75.00/hr.
