Senior Project Manager - Specialty Geotechnical Construction New England

A leading specialty geotechnical contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its growing geotechnical construction team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex, high-profile projects across New England while working alongside some of the region's most respected geotechnical construction professionals. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering challenging ground engineering projects while helping drive the continued growth of an established and highly regarded specialty geotechnical division.

The Opportunity

You'll manage projects from pursuit and preconstruction through execution and closeout, working closely with estimating, engineering, field operations, and executive leadership teams.

The role offers significant exposure to clients, contractors, and engineering consultants across the New England market and would suit someone looking to take the next step into a senior leadership position within a specialist contractor environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple geotechnical construction projects from estimating and proposal development through construction and project closeout.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, contracts, and client communications.
  • Work closely with field operations, engineering teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure quality, safety, financial, and schedule objectives are achieved.
  • Identify and manage project risks throughout the lifecycle of each project.
Client Development & Industry Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, consulting engineers, and general contractors.
  • Support project pursuits, estimating efforts, contract negotiations, and business development initiatives.
  • Participate in client meetings, networking events, industry associations, and conferences throughout New England.
  • Deliver presentations and technical discussions highlighting specialist geotechnical construction capabilities and solutions.
Team Development
  • Mentor and support Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and emerging leaders within the business.
  • Promote collaboration between estimating, operations, engineering, and project delivery teams.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the specialty geotechnical group.
Technical Experience

Candidates should have experience delivering complex geotechnical construction projects involving one or more of the following systems:

  • Soil Nailing
  • Earth Retention Systems
  • Deep Foundation Systems
  • Temporary and Permanent Ground Support Solutions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licence required.
  • Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience managing geotechnical construction projects.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously from preconstruction through completion.
  • Strong understanding of specialty geotechnical construction means, methods, and project delivery.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships within the construction and engineering industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Location
  • Candidates must be based within the New England region.
  • Travel throughout New England will be required based on project and client needs.
