Position- Elementary School Theatre Teacher
- As part of an exciting Fine and Performing Arts Expansion, the district is seeking a dynamic and passionate Elementary Theatre Teacher. The role involves inspiring creativity, cultural expression, and a sense of belonging among students through theater.
- Plan and implement instruction to ensure all students meet and exceed Common Core Standards and State Frameworks.
- Use data to inform instruction, track student progress, and conduct self‑evaluation and goal setting.
- Deliver engaging, targeted instruction that meets MA DESE and Common Core standards for the level and subject taught.
- Differentiate services and instruction to meet a variety of student learning needs and strengths.
- Maintain active communication with students’ families to support learning and provide regular updates on academic and social progress.
- Assess student performance using formal, summative, and portfolio assessments to drive instruction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
- Hold Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as an Academic:
Teacher, Theatre:
All Levels. - Possess knowledge of secondary theatre education methods and the ability to navigate technology software and applications.
- Have experience designing and implementing engaging lessons, units, and assessments that align with the MA Frameworks for Theatre.
- Have positive classroom management techniques, be responsive to student diversity, and enjoy working in an urban setting.
- Have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with colleagues, administrators, and parents.

In accordance with the Unit A contract.
