SummaryAs part of an exciting Fine and Performing Arts Expansion, New Bedford Public Schools is looking for a dynamic and passionate Elementary Dance Teacher. Dance plays a vital role in inspiring creativity, cultural expression, and a sense of belonging among our students. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, committed to equity and inclusion, and eager to contribute to our diverse community.
Responsibilities- Be a creative and innovative educator that demonstrates mastery and enthusiasm for the content and its pedagogy.
- Teach dance using a variety of dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.
- Apply positive classroom management techniques, respond to student diversity, and collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents.
- Maintain excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with colleagues, administrators, and parents.
- Licensed by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
- Demonstrated belief that each student can achieve at high levels.
- Dedication to lifelong learning, reflection, and continued personal and professional growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Requirements
Full-time
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
