Secondary Band Teacher

We are excited to announce an opening for a dynamic and passionate Instrumental Teacher (Band Teacher) as part of an ongoing Fine and Performing Arts Expansion. Our music program plays a vital role in inspiring creativity, cultural expression, and a sense of belonging among students. Title: Music Teacher – (Band Teacher)

• Hold Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as an Academic Teacher, Music:
  Vocal/Instrumental/General, All Levels
• Possess knowledge of elementary music education methods, including instrumental methods, and the ability to navigate basic music technology software and applications.
• Have experience directing student bands and preparing for a range of shows and concerts.
• Have experience designing and implementing engaging lessons, units, and assessments that correlate to the MA Frameworks for Music.
• Use positive classroom management techniques, respond to student diversity, enjoy working in an urban setting, and exhibit excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with colleagues, administrators, and parents.
