English Language Learner Teacher

At Onward Education, we connect great educators with school teams that value inclusive, student-centered learning. We're hiring an English Learner (ELL/ESL) Teacher to support students--primarily grades 2-5, with ESL services spanning PreK-6--in a collaborative, on-site setting.

In this role, you'll partner with classroom teachers and student support teams to deliver targeted language instruction, strengthen academic access, and help multilingual learners grow in confidence and proficiency. This is a contract opportunity for the 2026/2027 school year.

• Role: English Learner (ELL/ESL) Teacher
• Grade levels: Primary focus 2-5; ESL support PreK-6
• Schedule: 35 hours/week
• Work setting: On-site

• Provide direct ELL/ESL instruction aligned to students' language proficiency levels and classroom expectations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to plan supports and scaffolds that increase access to grade-level content.
• Support language development across listening, speaking, reading, and writing through structured, student-friendly instruction.
• Contribute to documentation and progress monitoring as required by the school team.
• Participate in team meetings and communication that keep services aligned and consistent for students.

• Experience supporting multilingual learners in an elementary setting, or similar experience.
• Comfort collaborating closely with classroom teams and adapting instruction for different proficiency levels.
• Ability to work on-site and follow school/district service and documentation expectations.
