Senior / Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer (Data Centres)

We are looking for a skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer who is excited by the opportunity to lead designs and projects in the Data Centre space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide mechanical design packages from initial brief through detailed design, installation and commissioning
  • Provide technical leadership across data centre projects
  • Support the development of junior colleagues
  • Lead and deliver mechanical work packages on complex projects
  • Ensure high quality design outputs
  • Work closely with clients
  • Present technical information clearly
  • Contribute to conceptual design work
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Manage budgets and resources
  • Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (preferably to master's level) with Chartership status (CIBSE / IMechE)
  • Accomplished engineer interested in developing design and project management skills on fast‑paced, highly technical projects
  • Experience in data centre and/or other mission critical systems and facilities
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully leading complex mechanical engineering projects with strong communication skills through sketching, drawing and writing
  • Competent in designing software packages
