Senior / Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer (Data Centres)
We are looking for a skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer who is excited by the opportunity to lead designs and projects in the Data Centre space.
Key Responsibilities- Guide mechanical design packages from initial brief through detailed design, installation and commissioning
- Provide technical leadership across data centre projects
- Support the development of junior colleagues
- Lead and deliver mechanical work packages on complex projects
- Ensure high quality design outputs
- Work closely with clients
- Present technical information clearly
- Contribute to conceptual design work
- Mentor junior team members
- Manage budgets and resources
- Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (preferably to master's level) with Chartership status (CIBSE / IMechE)
- Accomplished engineer interested in developing design and project management skills on fast‑paced, highly technical projects
- Experience in data centre and/or other mission critical systems and facilities
- Demonstrable experience of successfully leading complex mechanical engineering projects with strong communication skills through sketching, drawing and writing
- Competent in designing software packages
