Patient

Services Ambassador (Dietary Aide)

Hours: 32 hrs
Shift: Day shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA
Sign‑on Bonus: $800 new‑hire sign‑on bonus for this position (rehires more than 1 year also eligible)

Responsibilities

Position reports to the Manager Patient Services or designee. Perform a variety of duties to ensure customer and patient satisfaction. Ensure as directed that patient meal selections are as close to mealtime as possible. Adjust selections to diet restrictions WITH the patient. Update and correct patient‑selected menus with patient knowledge only. Responsible to use menu correction guide utilizing as a resource assigned dietitian to avoid serious errors in menu correction.

Must be able to describe ingredients and features of all menu items. Perform data entry of patient food preferences into the Patient Services Software Platform. Performs duties using the EPIC Platform as needed and or directed. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED plus additional courses or training or the equivalent knowledge or experience preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID‑19 virus or be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
  • Compensation:
    Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
Pay Range

USD $16.64 - USD $23.57 /Hr.
