  • 11-13 Week Assignment, with option to extend for 1 additional 13 week assignment if available
  • $55/hr

    Day Shift with weeknight, weekend and holiday on-call rotation.

    Main Operating Room e's Hospital, New Bedford MA

Position reports to the Manager or designee. Perform various duties including but not limited to: provide assistance to surgical team during the intra-operative phase, provide aseptic, safe, appropriately equipped and functional surgical environment. Responsible for OR preparation, instrument supply and assembly, maintenance of sterile fields, hands off instruments and initiation of counts throughout procedures. Perform Surgical Technologist duties including on-call duties as need or required.

  • Equal to completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training is required.
  • Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program is required.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologist is required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support is required.
  • One (1) year of Surgical Technologist experience is required.
