Machine Operator

Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machinery
Use surface grinders, Bridgeport-type mills, OD/, wire band saws, and rotary grinders
Maintain product quality and quantity with accountability to standards
Complete documentation and maintain product traceability
Clean and maintain equipment and work area according to 6S principles
Perform mechanical and visual inspection of ceramics using inspection equipment
Perform safety checks on each machine where certified to operate
Conduct periodic output checks to ensure quality products
Carry out basic regular and preventative maintenance
Read product drawings and methods to visualize machining/grinding and plan the operation sequence
Cross-train in other departments as needed
Perform additional duties assigned by the Production Supervisor
Participate in required EHS training and report unsafe or hazardous conditions and job-related injuries or illnesses

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must be a United States citizen, permanent resident alien of the United States, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) and 22

• Ability to carry out written, oral, or diagram form instructions
• Basic math skills
• Required to pass eye tests
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit
• Ability to use fingers, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to comply with local, state, and federal EHS regulations and Morgan Hudson NH EHS Guidelines
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
