RN – Med/Surg‑Neuro Unit
Hours:
36 hours per week.
Shift: Day/Evening, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm with weekend and holiday rotation.
Location:
St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA.
This 36-bed medical–surgical unit specializes in neurology, neurosurgery, and Level 2 trauma. The unit also provides telemetry monitoring for up to 26 patients, including those undergoing vascular, thoracic, and general surgery. You will work in a team‑based environment, supporting interdisciplinary care and delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients and families.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Manager, Patient Services (or unit designee), you will coordinate total nursing care, participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient‑team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
- Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Three (3) months of experience preferred.
- Step‑down training within 3 months of hire.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID‑19, or be exempt for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement.
