RN-Staff Nurse

Position Overview

RN‑Staff Nurse.

Hours:

40hrs.

Shift: Day shift; 8:00am‑4:30pm and 8:30am‑5:00pm.

Location:

Vascular Access – St. Luke's Hospital – New Bedford, MA.

Position reports to the Director, Manager or designee. Perform a variety of duties involving coordinating nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.

• Maintaining standards for professional nursing practice.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• One to three years of related experience preferred; 3-5 years of specific experience may be required based on practice/department specialty.
• Previous medical office experience desirable.
• Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) highly desirable.
• Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS may be required based on practice/department specialty.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID‑19 or be exempt under medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying the exemption.
