OpportunityWe are seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team as a Lead Provider in our urgent care clinic. The Lead Provider will act as the clinical leader for all staff, mentoring new‑grad providers and allied health professionals while delivering high‑quality patient care.
Your Impact- Provide Patient‑Centered Care
- Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address short‑ and long‑term patient needs.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as x‑rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies.
- Perform therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
- Educate and counsel patients on health, wellness, family planning, and disease prevention.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare clear, accurate, and legible medical records for each patient; type, edit, and electronically sign all notes and reports using EMR in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment in compliance with company and state regulations.
- Adhere to infection‑control policies and protocols.
- Stay informed of legal and professional requirements, anticipate changes, enforce compliance, and advise management.
- Collaborate with a Team Work collaboratively and proactively with other providers and healthcare practitioners to efficiently treat patients and plan coordinated dispositions.
- Clinic Leadership Act as clinic leader in the absence of the Practice Manager, providing support and mentorship to new‑graduate providers and other clinic staff.
- Professional Development Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in professional societies.
- Preceptor Serve as preceptor to new provider staff, offering educational opportunities and experiential growth.
- Education, Licensure &
Certifications:- Master’s degree and certification by a Nurse Practitioner (NP) certifying body.
- DEA license with no restrictions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association or American Red Cross. CPR or ACLS certifications are not accepted.
- Relevant
Experience:
Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care is preferred. - Leadership & Communication: Willing and able to mentor providers and non‑provider clinic staff; proactive and confident communicator in written and verbal interactions.
- Team Player: Enjoys collaborating with others and being part of a strong team dynamic.
- Compassionate & Patient‑Focused: Supports patients with kindness and authenticity, fostering a sense of belonging.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and clinical management systems (EMR). - Knowledge:
- Customer service principles and quality standards.
- Federal, state, and local laws including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Current medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment principles.
Hourly Pay Range: $68 – $85 USD. Compensation is determined at the conclusion of the interview process, based on location, experience, and market conditions. Additional earnings may be available through a productivity‑based incentive program tied to visits per shift.
