Overview

Vibra Hospital of SE Massachusetts is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team and build your career with a fast‑paced, friendly work environment.

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Southern East Massachusetts is a 90‑bed critical‑care hospital located in New Bedford, MA. The facility provides acute‑care services for patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, including trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning.

Responsibilities

The LPN/LVN is responsible for clinical functions on the unit, incorporating the nursing process in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. The staff LPN/LVN ensures that the unit operates smoothly, organized and efficiently as directed by the Registered Nurse, providing direct care and delegating or supervising all nursing care. Key responsibilities include demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving quality of care, establishing professional relationships, utilizing professional skills, and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

Required

Skills
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor.
  • IV certification.
Additional

Qualifications & Skills
  • One year of clinical experience in a health‑care setting (preferred).
  • Three years of medical/surgical experience (preferred).
  • One year of area‑specific experience (preferred).
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
