Southcoast Health - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (8 Hours

Position Summary

We are looking for an Advanced Practice Nurse to work e’s Hospital, the pediatric flagship hospital within a three-hospital system in southeastern Massachusetts, in collaboration with pediatricians within the Boston Children’s Hospital Network.

• Providing pediatric urgent care in a Level II trauma center, with current pediatric volumes estimated at 20,000 patients per year.
• Managing a variety of urgent and emergent complaints. Performing minor procedures including laceration repairs, incision and drainage, and splinting
• Collaborating with pediatric, respiratory therapy, and nursing teams to deliver high-quality, family-centered care.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and program development, including applying Boston Children’s Hospital derived evidenced based guidelines.
• Supporting education and simulation-based training across interdisciplinary teams
• Providing clinical coverage primarily in the evenings for 8 hour shifts. Pilot will consist of 8 hours per week (Monday 2p-10p)

• Master of Science in Nursing

• A minimum of 3–5 years of RN experience
• Urgent care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to practice independently in an ED setting.
• Experience with minor ED procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with commitment to family-centered, equitable pediatric care.

• A current Massachusetts NP license
• Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
