Job Overview
Vibra Hospital of Southeast Massachusetts located in New Bedford, MA is a 90-bed critical care hospital. We are seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide patient care and support to licensed nursing staff. 8 and 12-hour shifts are available.
Hospital Details:
Dedicated to acute care services for patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, including trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. A smaller, specialized environment offers a fast paced, friendly workplace where staff can truly know patients and families.
The Nursing Assistant assists patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living, documents care activities, maintains a clean and safe environment, uses basic infection control procedures, and assists with basic nutrition and fluid intake. They recognize emergency situations and respond promptly.
Required Skills- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor.
- Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Nursing Assistant/Nursing Aide in the state of employment (preferred).
- Multi‑Skilled Technician (MST) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification, or enrollment in a nursing program with at least one clinical rotation (preferred).
- Acute care/LTAC experience (preferred).
- Professional image and strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
