Overview
MTM Staffing, brought to you by Southcoast Physician's Group, is hiring EXPERIENCED Registered Nurses as Internal Travelers for the Emergency Department. This position offers an 11‑13 week assignment (with the option to extend) on night shifts e's Hospital in New Bedford, MA, and may include float assignments to other Southcoast hospitals.

Assignment Details- 11‑13 week assignment, option to extend if available
- $70 per hour
- Hours:
24 or 36 hours per week - Shifts:
Nights, 7:00 pm–7:00 am - Requirement to work every other weekend and holiday, or every weekend
- During assignment, may be asked to float to any Southcoast hospital (Charlton Memorial‑Fall River, St. Luke's‑New Bedford, and Tobey‑Wareham)
Under the direction of the Manager of Patient Services or its designee, perform a variety of duties including coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain professional nursing practice standards within an assigned patient care unit. Apply knowledge and skills appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.
Qualifications& Eligibility
- Current Southcoast Health System employees are not eligible; former employees must have been separated for at least 9 months to qualify
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required
- Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required
- Minimum of one year of Emergency Department nursing experience is required
- Competent in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips
- Ability to efficiently float to other like‑units for patient assignments is required
- Working knowledge and experience with PC‑based applications
- Epic experience is preferred
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID‑19, or be exempt with a signed statement explaining the exemption
- Minimum of one (1) year of RN Emergency Department experience
