Aboutthe Opportunity
Comfort Home Care is searching for a Part‑Time Clinical Educator (20 hours per week) who will be responsible for supporting the professional growth and development of clinical staff to ensure the delivery of the highest quality patient care. This role collaborates with leadership and staff to identify educational needs and develop relevant training programs that promote clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.
Dayto Day Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, organization, and revision of training programs based on patient needs, staff competency assessments, regulatory requirements, evidence‑based best practice, and performance evaluation findings for skilled nurses and home health aide staff.
- Facilitate mandatory education programs, in‑services, onboarding orientation, and competency‑based training for skilled nursing and home health aide staff in a supportive learning environment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain educational materials, competency‑validation tools, training resources, and learning activities.
- Perform ongoing chart audits to assess documentation compliance, identify trends, and support performance improvement efforts.
- Conduct clinical co‑visits throughout the year to support staff development, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide field support and consultation related to documentation, regulatory requirements, case management, and clinical procedures, and other practice related topics.
- Participate in agency committees such as but not limited to QAPI, Infection Control, Emergency Preparedness, and Safety.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable regulatory and accreditation standards, including Joint Commission and CMS Conditions of Participation (CoPs).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary departments to identify staff educational needs and opportunities for improvement.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license within the state of Massachusetts.
- Recent home health experience.
- Current BLS CPR Certification.
- Experience in staff education, precepting, mentoring, or demonstrated interest in professional development and clinical education.
