BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Client Development Manager (former Client Relationship Manager) in the Central or Eastern Time Zone.
Position SummaryThe Client Development Manager is responsible for driving transactional revenue by building strong relationships with Director, Manager, and Team Lead–level stakeholders. This role focuses on influencing hiring decisions, shaping requisition flow, and securing exclusive opportunities. This position serves as a critical engine for pipeline generation and client engagement, operating in a fast-paced environment where relationship depth, responsiveness, and execution excellence directly impact business outcomes.
The role can be leveled from entry-level to senior based on experience, performance, and scope of responsibility.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with Director, Manager, and Team Lead–level client stakeholders
- Establish credibility as a responsive, solution-oriented partner in the hiring process
- Maintain consistent, value-driven client touchpoints to strengthen influence and preference
- Drive the generation of directed requisitions through proactive client engagement
- Secure exclusive recruiting opportunities by demonstrating speed, quality, and reliability
- Partner closely with recruiting teams to ensure timely delivery against client needs
- Manage a portfolio of accounts and requisitions, ensuring consistent activity and follow-through
- Identify opportunities to expand engagement within existing accounts
- Track and manage pipeline activity in CRM and related systems
- Work closely with recruiting, delivery, and operations teams to align on client priorities
- Communicate clear expectations and requirements to recruiting partners
- Escalate risks or challenges proactively to ensure client satisfaction
- Develop deeper understanding of client organizations, roles, and hiring drivers
- Continuously improving sales skills, product knowledge, and market awareness
- Progressively take on more complex accounts and larger scopes of responsibility as experience grows
- Entry-level through senior-level experience in sales, staffing, account management, or business development
- Demonstrated interest or experience in client-facing roles
- Prior experience in staffing or workforce solutions preferred but not required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence outcomes without formal authority
- Results-oriented mindset with strong follow-through
- Effective communication skills across multiple stakeholder levels
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple active requisitions
- Comfort operating in a transactional, fast-paced environment
