- Lead day-to-day on-site execution of assigned HVAC and construction projects
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams
- Coordinate site activities, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to support safe, timely, and high-quality delivery
- Support Project Managers with project planning and field prioritization
- Create, maintain, and communicate short-term schedules and look-ahead plans
- Supervise and direct installation technicians, subcontractors, and vendors
- Review scopes of work and coordinate activities between trades
- Monitor progress and help keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Support procurement and coordinate required project materials
- Perform site surveys, replacements, modifications, start-up, and commissioning activities
- Ensure quality installation and verify systems are fully functional
- Identify and communicate safety, schedule, budget, quality, and site-condition risks
- Support change-order management and field-issue resolution
- Draft daily reports, progress updates, photos, production tracking, and project records
- Conduct site walks to assess progress, quality, safety, housekeeping, and coordination
- Maintain clean, organized, and customer-compliant jobsites
- Administer site safety requirements, inspections, toolbox talks, and site-specific safety plans
- Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials
- Provide technical support and field coordination to customers and internal teams
- Maintain customer relationships and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with contracting processes, company policies, and site requirements
- Attend planning and coordination meetings
- Hold project teams accountable, motivate others, and promote a strong team environment
- Support continuous improvement and remain current on Trane products, systems, and installation practices
- Work overtime or travel occasionally, including overnight stays, based on business and project needs
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Typically 5–10 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, mechanical construction, or general construction required
- Previous experience leading field teams, coordinating subcontractors, and managing on-site project execution preferred
- Technical school training or formal trade training preferred
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, installation practices, mechanical layouts, and construction site coordination
- Ability to read and interpret project schedules, plans, specifications, and scopes of work
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Working proficiency with handheld technology such as smartphones or tablets
- Experience with Procore, Raken, or similar field documentation platforms preferred
- State contractor licenses preferred where applicable, such as Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License
- Valid driver’s license required for at least 12 months
- No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit-and-run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, or multiple smaller infractions/preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required
- Ability to safely and legally operate a vehicle using a seat belt
- Ability to wear helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harnesses, and safety boots
- Ability to twist the trunk 90 degrees in each direction, squat and touch the floor with both hands, and reach hands overhead
- Ability to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods, routinely up to 4 hours
- Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and regularly use hands and fingers
- Ability to lift/move up to 10 lbs. regularly, up to 40 lbs. frequently, and more than 40 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to safely use a ladder with a 375 lb. total weight limit while carrying equipment of 50 lbs. or less
- Ability to maneuver confined access areas as small as 30” vertical x 45” horizontal
- Ability to routinely access rooftops using extension or fixed ladders at heights of 15–20 feet and occasionally 50 feet or more
