We areactivelysearchingforqualifiedprofessionalelectricianswith adesire tohonetheir careerbybeingpartofthe premiersolar photovoltaic owner operatorof C&I assetsin the nation.
The Field Operations Techniciansupportstheteam in the maintenance and repair of Standard Solar’s fleet of solar assets.
Activities includemaximizing the performance of anexpandingfleet of solar electric and batterypower systems across the nation. The daily activities ofthe
Field Operations Technicianinclude bothhands-on field work and in-office preparation and meetings. Field work includes preventative maintenance and correctivemaintenance of existing commercial PV systems, as well as testing, job safety planning,troubleshooting,inspection and commissioning of newassets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Field Operations Technicians willbe available to travel and perform the following functions with a group or alone asrequiredon a daily basis:
Testing,diagnosing,and troubleshooting existing PV systemsin the field and remotely
Inspectingand reviewing commissioning documentationandsupporting the construction team with thecommissioningofnewly constructedsolarassets as required
Conducting maintenance inspections and providing reports onfindings
Coordinating and supporting the operations teamwiththeprompt resolution of system outages and analyzing system performance via online monitoring and data tracking systems
Performing quality control inspections as necessary
Preparing quotes for corrective maintenance
Participating in both formal and "in the field" training and programs
Applying Standard SolarandOSHA’ssafetypolicies andprinciplesat all times
Maintaining an awareness of the latest construction technologies,materials, and test procedures relevant to the industry
Reporting work progress, plans, issues, and problems tomanagementin accordance with Company policies and procedures
Maintaining respectful and professional working relationships with clients and developing professional relationships with potential clients
Supporting asset operations by beingon-callfor emergency and weekend support on a rotating basis
Meeting and/or exceeding established performanceobjectivesasdefined and communicated by management
MINIMUM EDUCATION,
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
High school diplomaisrequired
Minimum of(4) years ofhands-on electrical experience as an Apprentice Electricianandqualifyingexperiencedemonstratingeligibility to sit for theJourneyman
Certification examination
Troubleshooting logic and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiencyandexperiencewiththe National Electric Code(NEC)
Competency with Microsoft Office
Journeymanor Master Electrician certification is preferred
Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
Experience with MODBUS control schemes and data acquisition systemsis preferred
NABCEP PVInstallation Professional(PVIP) certification is preferred
OSHA trainingis preferred
Must successfully pass background check and pre-employment drug testing.
Mustbe authorized towork in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
POSITION ROUTINELY INTERFACES WITH:
Customers, subcontractors,general public, all employees.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Conducts work in both a field-type environment and a professional office setting with travel to jobsites.
Physical working conditions may involve the following:
Lifting upto
75pounds.
Extended periods of sitting, walking, standing, reaching, and/or bending.
Extended periods of reading fine print on a computer or in paper-based format.
Climbing ladders and working from heights
