As a Principal Signal Processing Engineer, you will develop the next generation technology for the treatment of heart rhythm disorders, creating and optimizing algorithms for diagnosis and therapy during cardiac ablation procedures.

• Design, develop, and test signal processing algorithms and implement them as high‑performance, high‑reliability production code for a medical device.
• Collaborate with the hardware engineering team on electronics and firmware to support signal processing needs.
• Manage signal‑processing pipelines within Affera software products.
• Perform performance verification and validation of signal‑processing and computational algorithms.
• Analyze bench, preclinical, and clinical data to inform design decisions and verification activities.

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or
  • PhD with 3 years of relevant experience.

• Deep understanding of signal‑processing fundamentals including filter design and statistics.
• Experience with machine‑learning based development, including dataset annotation, model development, system validation, and deployment in production software environments.
• Understanding of, or interest in learning about, cardiac pacing, mapping, ablation, and body impedance measurements.
• Hands‑on R&D experience, ideally with custom/prototype hardware.
• Proficiency with software development on Linux operating systems and programming in Python and C++.
• Ability to work in an agile development environment.
• Strong work ethic, entrepreneurial drive, and interest in gaining a deep understanding of cardiac electrophysiology.
