Position Overview

Immediately hiring a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver for Ryder in New Bedford, MA. Transfer Driver duties include shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities and transporting rental equipment, parts, and trucks.

• Pay: $24 per hour plus $1 shift differential, paid weekly.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6:30 pm.
• Hours:
  
  40 hours per week.
• Home time: local – home daily.
• No weekends.
• Paid training.

• Uniforms and boot allowance.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements.
• Experience:
  
  at least 9 months in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years.
• Pass Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check, DOT physical, and Ryder road test.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions; interpret and apply laws, rules, and regulations.

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations and customer service standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs; perform additional tasks as assigned.
