Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in New Berlin, Wisconsin. This is a Contract position offering an excellent opportunity to assist with critical accounting tasks and support workflow improvements. The role requires expertise in Quick Books Online and Excel, as well as the ability to streamline processes and train team members effectively.

Responsibilities:

- Organize and update financial records to eliminate backlog and ensure data accuracy.

- Provide training to team members on Quick Books Online workflows, templates, and best practices.

- Redesign and standardize purchase order and job documentation templates for better efficiency.

- Enhance the accuracy and functionality of Excel spreadsheets used for commission tracking and job costing.

- Develop streamlined workflows to improve day-to-day accounting operations.

- Attach proper documentation to jobs within Quick Books Online to maintain organized records.

- Assist in generating monthly sales, profit, and commission reports using Excel.

- Ensure bills are processed efficiently and payment stubs are delivered to customers digitally.

- Collaborate with a lean onsite team to address immediate bookkeeping needs and optimize processes. Requirements - Proficiency in Quick Books Online, with advanced-level skills preferred.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis for job costing and reporting.

- Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Ability to train team members and simplify accounting workflows.

- Familiarity with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.

- Capacity to redesign templates and documentation for streamlined operations.

- Process-driven mindset with a focus on improving efficiency.

- At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
